The Role

We are seeking expressions of interest from Registered Nurses available for an immediate start to join our team on a casual basis, with the option to move to a fixed term contract once the COVID-19 vaccinations are made available.

You will work as part of a team in one of the biggest vaccination programs in history. Working in community and clinic settings, you will safety administer vaccinations, working across various locations with consideration for infection control practices, the Australian Immunisation Handbook guidelines and the National Vaccine Storage Guidelines, monitoring client’s for adverse events and maintaining health records.

Working as part of a 7 day a week operation with extended hours, you will have the opportunity to nominate your preferred availability, offering you flexibility and an opportunity to balance your existing commitments.

About You

You are an experienced nurse immuniser with experience upholding the PPE and infection control requirements, unique to COVID-19. You regularly demonstrate an agile and adaptive approach during uncertain times and enjoy working within a dynamic workplace. You are now seeking to undertake a unique role which is critical in the fight against COVID-19?

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will

  • Be a registered nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Hold Independent Nurse Immuniser Qualifications
  • Possess a current CPR Certificate and the ability to manage vaccination-related medical emergencies on and off site
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Demonstrate a well organised approach and conduct yourself with a polite, professional manner

The fine print
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC and Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme Check (soon to move to NDIS Worker Screening Check).
  • Full driver license and travel between sites will be required.
This role is a new position, as a direct response to Covid-19 and as such, DPV Health are finalising the position description and requirements for this role. A position description will be made available during the recruitment process to once details have been confirmed.
