About the role

The role is responsible for assisting the Director of Property & Economic Development to implement development projects identified within the University City of the Future (Uni City) program.

This position has a strong commercial focus and will be required to identify and drive commercial development opportunities from inception through planning, approval to procurement and delivery.

The role involves working closely with the Director of Property & Development I&O, the Executive Director of I&O, and other senior University and I&O staff who have the day-to-day responsibility for managing University related projects or corresponding roles identified under the Uni City program.

You will be responsible for; 

  • identifying marketing strategies to attract key commercial stakeholders to the range of commercial developments as well as projects identified at other campuses;
  • managing and overseeing the successful co-ordination and delivery of a diverse range of complex projects;
  • participating in the development of feasibility studies and business cases associated with the University’s commercial property developments including the identification of problems, benefits and strategic options along with detailed cost benefits analyses;
  • managing negotiations in consultation with the Director of Property & Economic Development on project outcomes with development partners, contractors and officers of Government agencies and establish effective working relationships and, where appropriate, strategic alliances and partnerships with selected government, commercial and community stakeholders with an interest in La Trobe University’ s commercial developments.
