Full-time, Materials & Supply Planner position in thriving business
Client and quality focused company
Small, friendly and mature team environment in north-west suburbs
With a small local office, this company is an independent arm of an international organisation. Providing electro-mechanical products to construction, commercial and industrial industries they take pride in the quality of their solutions.
The business has performed very well during these challenging and uncertain times, with their products and services considered essential to a wide range of businesses.
This newly created Materials & Supply Planner position will be responsible for creating and implementing plans for stock and supply management. Driving value and savings via disciplined category management, you be responsible for reviewing proposals from both national and international suppliers, as well as ongoing supplier management.
This is a full-time role with office hours, 9 am to 5 pm. You will be using propriety software so having specific purchasing software skills is not a requirement.
Responsibilities include:
Review current supply and stock holding
Develop new sourcing strategy
Maintain stock levels, associated costs and related cash flow
Manage supplier relations ensuring on time supply and quality of product
Evaluate supplier proposals and complete cost benefit analysis
Evaluate current spend against future business requirements
Drive value and savings via category management
Regular reporting
International and local procurement
Being on top of market, product and order changes
Ideally you will have/be:
Experience developing and implementing sourcing strategies
Previous stock management experience
Managed suppliers and reviewed supplier proposals
Solid Microsoft Office skills
Process and procedure driven
Ability to form and build strong relationships with a broad cross-section of people
Excellent communication and organisational skills
