At SKMV, we work closely with clients, their families and support network, to develop functional behaviour assessments and behaviour support plans that can be followed to ensure a reduction of behaviours of concern, a reduction of restrictive practices, and improvement of quality of life.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a senior practitioner, the Clinical Supervisor will have advanced experience and skill in trauma informed counselling. This position provides leadership through the effective guidance and development of a positive environment of critically reviewing practice and peer support for a small team of allied health professionals including behaviour support practitioners, occupational therapists and psychologists.

The role will encompass:

  • Key clinical leadership and development of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide quality supervision to support the growth and development of our diverse mental health/ disability support workforce.
  • Deliver therapeutic primary mental health services with a varied clinical caseload.
  • Provide clinical consultations individually and in groups and act as a professional resource across the organisation.
  • Contribute to improvements in clinical service provision.

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary degree in social work, psychology or counselling
  • Suitably experienced and qualified Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists or Mental Health Nurses with at least 4 years’ field experience.
  • Full registration with relevant registration authority (AHPRA or AASW)
  • Current Police Check - not more than 6 months old
  • DWES/ NDIS Clearance
  • WWC Check
