ABOUT THE ROLE

Our people and community are the heart of all that we do and ensuring that our staff are engaged, motivated and managed in a positive and supportive workplace is a high priority to us. We are seeking a highly talented HR leader for our Human Resources Unit to oversee daily operations, including HR business partnering, training, recruitment and administration functions. Reporting directly to the Manager People and Safety, this key leadership role will also contribute to the development and implementation of wider strategic initiatives such as workforce planning, diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as new appraisal and recruitment system implementation. You will provide expert advice on all matters related to IR/ER, award interpretation and disciplinary processes and the review, development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and process improvement.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE 

  • Demonstrable experience in the full breadth of HR operational matters
  • Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualification in HR or related discipline
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team members and managing a small team
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills across an organisation in all aspects of HR operations
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing new HR systems, such as performance reviews and recruitment
  • Experience with continuous process improvement, for HR administration, business partnering and case management models across a business
  • Exposure and ability to coordinate and support the delivery of daily HR advice, in a fast paced and demanding environment, including local government reporting, data analysis and preparation of management reporting
