Cultural Development Administration Officer

  • Salary - $75K + Super (Pro rata)
  • Temporary part time position (60 hours per fortnight)
  • 12 month - Parental Leave Replacement

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Moreland City Council is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join the Cultural Development team. The successful incumbent will in accordance with relevant policies, practices and processes, ensure the effective and efficient operation of administrative functions of the Cultural Development Branch, with a particular focus on supporting the Arts and Culture Unit with social media and marketing administration, managing communications relating to event permits, and purchasing and accounts. In addition, the role will provide administrative assistance to the Manager Cultural Development and Unit Manager Arts and Culture.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE 

  • VCE and a qualification equivalent to Diploma of Office Administration, or relevant administrative knowledge and skills gained through five years or more of on the job experience
  • Relevant qualifications, skills and/or experience in social media and marketing desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in maintaining accounts, purchasing and administrative procedures
  • Experience in local government is useful but not essential
  • Consistently positive and cheerful attitude to work, to the organisation, to colleagues and to community members
