Visual Merchandise Specialist 

  • Lead and inspire the team by role modelling the Dan Murphy’s Values and Ways of Working 
  • Work end to end together across all business functions, creating a customer first team culture 
  • 12 month fixed term contract, based in Alphington with remote working

About the role:

As the Visual Merchandise Specialist, you bring Dan Murphy’s Campaigns to life in store to drive exceptional customer experience, improved in aisle navigation and confidence and reinforce our place as leader in the market. 

You are responsible for creating clear and effective direction for execution of all store activations and point of sale (POS). You help to deliver and execute a customer first in store brand strategy which drives customer advocacy, sales and gross profit. Working closely with your team and the wider marketing network, you will build strong relationships across the Dan' business and our agency partners to ensure the successful delivery of all in store campaigns and activations.

  • Create world class in-store marketing campaigns & visual merchandising principles which highlight the Dan Murphy’s brand and value pillars, to maximise the business’ growth, sales and profitability 
  • Develop, implement & evolve the in-store campaign displays and POS, both execution and strategy. This includes interpretation of the campaign and it’s translation into an in-store environment, print production, POS creation, delivery, management and analysis of all test & learn campaigns aligned with the overarching marketing plan
  • Support and guide the In-Store Marketing Coordinator to align in delivering all facets of a campaign to deliver clear in store alignment and messaging.
  • Working with your team, build strong partnerships with the broader Marketing and Merchandise team to successfully execute all discovery focused campaigns from a loyalty events perspective, whilst also building our brand in the market 
  • Develop effective working relationships with operations team, external suppliers and agencies to deliver elevated, high quality in store campaigns on time and to budget

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in building in store marketing/ visual merchandising plans, whilst leading the delivery end-to-end across the store & experiential channels, working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders along the journey. You will have extensive brand development experience, with a proven track record of driving market differentiation and how the brand shows up in the in store environment. You are passionate about understanding the customer and puts the customer first in everything that they do. In addition:

  • Significant experience in visual merchandising / instore marketing in large format stores. 
  • Knowledgeable and confident in the end to end print product process
  • Proven ability to implement & deliver in store campaign with in depth understanding of in store environment 
  • Minimum 5 years working in dedicated Visual Merchandising role
  • A sound and up to date knowledge of the current state of play in latest Visual Merchandising products, display methods and trends in the market
