The Company

My client is a distributor of premium electrical products who have seen growth over the last few years. Due to an internal promotion, this position has become available and we are interviewing ASAP with a view to start straight away.

The Role

This role will see you mainly being responsible for looking after the counter internal sales of a large portfolio of quality products as well as supporting other internal sales staff as well as other BDM’s.

The main areas of responsibility for the role will include but not be limited to;

  • Internal counter sales of a large portfolio of specialised products
  • Process and follow up of customers' orders, quotes and telephone enquiries
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships and accounts
  • Warm calls to existing customers to re-engage possible sales opportunities
  • Ensuring Customer orders are received in line with promised delivery date
  • Proactively managing customer interactions via telephone and seizing opportunities to up-sell

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Current experience working in a similar position
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Be proactive and a quick learner
  • Must be able to multi task and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to strive for customer satisfaction
  • Able to pick the phone up and proactively call warm leads and old customers to generate potential sales interest
  • Experience working with an electrical portfolio will be advantageous

Salary and Benefits

  • Base - $50,000 to $55,000
  • Super
