The Ward 6 team provide nursing care across a 31 bed specialist Gynaecology/Oncology Surgical Ward inclusive of a 5 bed High Dependency Unit, and an associated Day Chemotherapy Unit. Experience in our wards specialty areas is desirable but not essential. This role will provide you with an opportunity to: 

  • Rotate between the wards specialty areas and advance your skills
  • Various fixed term contract hours available. 
  • Play an integral role in a motivated clinical team
  • Join a great work environment with a motivated and passionate team of Nurses and Midwives
  • Act in a position of advocacy for patients and family members in line with the Mercy Values


  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse or a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Previous experience in the Gynaecology Oncology setting, including surgical experience
  • Chemotherapy knowledge desirable but not essential
  • Adaptable to a changing environment and ability to problem solve in a variety of situations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Commitment to professional development
