The Role

The Manager Ageing Well is responsible for the development and delivery of day-to-day services for one of the Council’s largest community service areas. We want Whittlesea to be an Age Friendly city and as such the role provides the Ageing Well department’s strategic priorities through strong leadership and engagement with key stakeholders and staff. It works to ensure that service planning and delivery is informed by a deep understanding of community needs, good practice and wider sector trends. The position will also play an important role as Council addresses the Commonwealth’s Aged Care reform agenda over the next few years.

About you

You will have demonstrated experience and a proven track record in:

  • Creating and developing high-performing teams to deliver on objectives, in a complex operating environment.
  • Successfully delivering quality programs and services, and leading change initiatives.
  • Developing strong partnerships, relationships and buy-in across a diverse organisation and community.
  • Working collaboratively with leadership, stakeholders, staff, community and the aged care sector.
